Harun Güçlüsoy, who served as a faculty member at the Institute of Marine Sciences and Technology at Dokuz Eylul University between 2004 and 2024, specializes in marine conservation biology, integrated coastal zone management, and sustainable fisheries. Güçlüsoy has conducted numerous studies and publications on marine biology and conservation, particularly focusing on marine mammal science and marine protected areas. A member of the Mediterranean Conservation Society, Güçlüsoy has been serving as a Board Member and the Director of the Scientific Monitoring since 2024.
