Ezgi Saydam graduated from the Department of Biology at Ege University. She is currently a PhD candidate at the Dokuz Eylül University Marine Sciences and Technology Institute, where she also obtained her master’s degree. In 2015, she completed the Conservation Management and Leadership Training by the Conservation Leadership Program (CLP) after that she successfully completed modules in the 2015 CLP Conservation Management & Leadership Training Workshop held at Barrier Lake Field Station in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. In 2016, Ezgi completed modules in Existence Conservation Tools Course held at Gawahon Eco Park, Philippines (Marine Science Training Course on Danjugan Island, Philippines). In 2017, she attended the EDGE of Existence Conservation Leadership Course as an EDGE Fellow which held at the Zoological Society of London (ZSL) in London, UK.
She was involved in the Mediterranean Conservation Society’s research studies on Sandbar sharks between 2015 - 2016 and Ezgi has been working as Scientific Monitoring Expert at MCS since 2016.
