He graduated from the Department of German Language Education at Gazi University. In 1988, he started working as a Production Supervisor at TRT Education and Culture Programs Directorate. For the next 18 years, he worked as a reporter-editor and producer in numerous news and programs at TRT News and Sports Department. Between 2010 and 2015, he assumed the role of Digital Broadcast Responsible at TRT Documentary Channel. Until the end of 2018, he served as a director at TRT Internal Productions Coordination. During this position, he directed the documentaries titled "Arı Orkideleri" and "Anadolu Engereği". Nejdet Bozkurt, who is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in the Department of Biology at Ege University, has been conducting research on Turkish orchids for 20 years. He is also the project coordinator for "Propagation and Conservation of the Endemic Orchid Species Ophrys lycia in in vitro Conditions" conducted in collaboration with Ege University and the Mediterranean Conservation Society. He is Auditing Board Member of MCS's.
