Mediterranean Conservation Society organized a New Fish Tasting Event at the Bostanova Boutique Hotel in Şirinköy as part of the New Fish program within the ecosystem restoration efforts.
Hotel and restaurant owners, chefs, fishers, and local residents attended the tasting event in Akyaka. Chef Serkan Sever and Duygu Akmete prepared recipes using new fish varieties such as Brushtooth lizardfish, Randall's threadfin bream, and Red Sea goatfish. The story behind the new fish species was shared with guests by representatives from the Mediterranean Conservation Association, chefs incorporating these fish into their cuisine, and small-scale fishermen from Akyaka.
